EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Dance Explosion is a community driven event seeking to provide an outlet for adolescents to express their creativity through the art form of dance. It is a live competition allowing spectators to view crews as they sweat and battle it out to see who will become ATR’s Dance Explosion champion. Prizes include up to $2000 and much, much more! Sponsors include Scion of Toyota, Beacon Hill Prepartory Academy. Also, we have Chicago's very own DJ Geno and DJ Slugo as well as a celebrity guest to award the prizes to the selected winners.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS:
There will be three categories of performers; 6-12 years of age, 13-17 years of age and 18 and up. The city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs will be the targeted demographics.
COMPETITION ENTRY IS FREE!
TARGET SPECTATORS:
Dance Explosion is a spectator event due to the nature of the live competition. Friends and family of the competitors will be invited to view the competition. Within the space of the venue, each category has the possibility of an audience of 1200 spectators.
